HYDRA RELOADED has won Alliance Tournament IX.

HYDRA RELOADED has won Alliance Tournament IX.

An early loss to DarkSide. knocked Pandemic Legion out of the tournament in only the second match of the day. This loss opened the door to the championship and Outbreak. worked their way through to the Final where they faced HYDRA RELOADED who had effortlessly worked their way through as well.

The resultant fight was aggressive and brutal with Outbreak. taking an early lead. HYDRA caught up though as Outbreak. was concentrating on the HYDRA logistics ship. By match end, only a HYDRA Vindicator was left alone among the wreckage of 19 other ships.

All was not as it seemed though...

After the match, it was revealed that the Outbreak. team was actually an additional tournament entry of HYDRA RELOADED. As Duncan Tanner explains, “If people are wondering what the true final was, it was Darkside. versus Outbreak, that was the true final.” He refers to the last fight before the Final in which DarkSide. was defeated by Outbreak. This was confirmed by Zarathustra of Outbreak. who stated that "Everyone should realize this was one team that won first and second."

Tournament prizes include 50 copies of an Amarr-hulled heavy assault ship called the Vangel and 120 billion ISK awarded to HYDRA RELOADED, and 50 copies of an Amarr-hulled assault ship called the Malice plus 50 billion ISK to Outbreak..

If what HYDRA and Outbreak. participants say is accurate about being one and the same team, this means that HYDRA RELOADED may now have as many as 150 ultra-rare ships (including last year's 2nd prize Utu assault ship blueprints) and close to 200 billion ISK in their war chest.

Match reports and statistics are available on the Interstellar Correspondents' website.

  • EVE Account Management Improved
EVE Account Management Improved The EVE Online Account Management site has been improved to reflect modern web design standards both visually and in terms of usability. The newly-deployed changes include a complete visual overhaul, giving a consistent look and feel to the site, combined with a choice of languages (German and Russian localization throughout) and drop-down links to all our sites, including EVE Online, EVE Gate and Support. Additionally, the log in process has been improved, and a record of recent account activity is available together with your transaction history.

Account Management has been further enhanced with newly-refined offer pages and services such as the PLEX Store, Buddy Program and reactivation offers. Valued services such as character transfer and ETC trading have been updated, and are always easily accessible via the header menu. The purchasing process has also been refined and made consistent across our products and services. This overhaul to Account Management is just the first step in an ongoing effort to enhance and expand your ability to access EVE Online products and services.

  • Eve Incarna review. The first steps towards new opportunities.

For those of you who haven't played Eve online in a while and for those of you who think Eve online is a still mining simulator, the following review might help you get up to date to the changes Eve Online has suffered lately, mainly the first Eve Incursion latest expansion.
For those who are not familiar with Eve online, Eve is the most complex Sci-Fi game and MMORPG altogether. Unfortunately, since 2003 when it first got launched until the few last months, Eve online was a game that focused exclusively on space-ships. In other words your avatar, or character was just a simple portrait in the corner of the screen and all you could control was your spaceship or pod.
Many considered this flaw the undoing of Eve, and for many players the lack of an actual player character was a total turn off.
However, as promised by CCP, things have changed and the first part of the huge Incarna expansion has been deployed.

In case you are not familiar with Incarna, it's an upcoming expansion pack that will add full 3D avatars, the ability to walk in station, change the avatars clothes and interact with other players avatars in a fully 3D environment. CCP has decided to deploy this huge expansion step by step, so for now the players are restricted from interacting with each other's 3D avatars.
However, even if it lacks the interaction between players, the first deployment of Incarna look pretty damn cool and now we'll take a look at it in a bit more detail.

All of you nostalgic Eve players, you need not worry. You are still able to view your docked spinning ship, and let me tell you: It's huge! Unfortunately you're not able to spin it anymore. I'd say this is more than a fair price to pay. Now let's get back to the matter at hand.
The firs Incarna expansion consists in what CCP calls "Captain's Quarters" It's basically a room and a hallway that goes to the docking area where you can see your ship. The room is equipped with some cool screens in the wall, a couch to sit on and a few more things. The interesting thing is that there are holograms everywhere that can easily replace the most important aspects of the Neocom (HUD).
The character movement is fluent and you can control it with your WASD buttons or by clicking on the ground. And for the older players who have not yet seen Incarna, don't worry, you can't bunny hop.
